Course launch: - Model-based Systems Engineering with Object-Process Methodology

Tomorrow will be the launch of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Model-based Systems Engineering with Object-Process Methodology!

The course is also offered as part of the edX Professional Certificate Program, and is endorsed by Whirlpool Corporation.

Since October 2017, I've been working on the instructional design and development of this course. During this course, system engineers, engineering students, and anyone else interested in state-of-the-art conceptual modelling of systems will learn MBSE with OPM and develop their systems thinking skills.

OPM is a a formal methodology and ISO 19450 for conceptual modelling of systems of all kinds - technological, social, natural, or hybrid. OPM is actualised as software in OPCloud.

Designing and developing pedagogy for this course, including the learning goals, syllabus, screenplays and learning exercises, has been an incredible experience for me. Together with a diverse group of very talented people , I believe we managed to create a course that is engaging, inclusive, and authentic, encouraging learners to take responsibility for their learning process.
