Presented a research study on metacognition in chemistry education
On August 22nd, I gave an oral presentation at the 252nd American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition. I presented findings from a review of research on metacognition in chemistry education, which were part of a paper I co-authored with Professor Judy Yehudit Dori and doctoral student Gabby Shwartz. The name of the presention was 'Metacognition in chemistry education: A literature review and an exemplary assignment'.
Metacognition is the ability to know and regulate one's cognition, or 'think about thinking'. It is an integral part of self-regulated learning.
